Reminders that keep asking until it's taken.
Foil reminds you at the time, then again after 10, 30 and 60 minutes, and stops the moment you mark the dose. Tablets, birth control packs and injections in one calm app, with no account and nothing leaving your phone.

How it keeps asking
One reminder is easy to swipe away. Foil asks again.
Most missed doses are not refusals. The phone buzzed while you were busy, and then the moment passed. So a dose that is not marked stays open, and Foil comes back to it.

Taken. The remaining reminders are cancelled and cleared from your lock screen.
- Each follow-up replaces the last one, so your lock screen shows one card, not four.
- Taken, Snooze and Skip work right from the notification.
- Optional quiet hours for follow-ups. The first reminder always comes.

A critical alarm, only if you want one
For a medicine you mark as critical, the last step can be a real alarm that rings through silent mode and Focus. It stays off unless you switch it on for that medicine. Part of Foil Pro.

FAQ
Questions people ask
Is Foil free?
Yes. Reminders, follow-ups and every schedule type are free for any number of medications. Foil Pro adds the full history, a doctor report, refills, a critical alarm, custom follow-ups and app lock. It is a yearly plan with a 7-day free trial or a one-time lifetime purchase.
What happens if I ignore a reminder?
Foil asks again after 10, 30 and 60 minutes. Each follow-up replaces the previous notification, and all of them stop as soon as you mark the dose as taken or skipped, from the notification or in the app. In Foil Pro you can set your own steps for each medicine.
Can Foil remind me to take my birth control pill?
Yes. Pack mode shows your pack with active pills and break or placebo days, for 21+7, 24+4, 84+7 or your own counts, and can remind you to start the next pack. If your leaflet gives a window for a late pill, you can enter it; Foil does not tell you what to do when a pill is late. Your leaflet and your pharmacist do.
Does it work for weekly injections?
Yes. Injections are a medication type like any other, including weekly shots such as GLP-1 medications. Pick the weekday and time, and site rotation keeps track of where you injected last.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up and no login. You open the app and add your first medication.
Where is my data stored?
On your phone. Medications, schedules and dose history are stored only on the device and are included in your own phone backup if you have one turned on. They are never sent to us. You can export everything to a file at any time.
Will reminders arrive when the app is closed?
Yes. Reminders are scheduled with your phone's system, so they arrive with the app closed. Standard reminders follow your phone's sound and Focus settings. The app includes a reliability check that shows settings that can hold reminders back, such as battery optimisation on Android, and how to fix them.
Can I hide what the reminders are for?
Yes. Discreet notifications show only “Your 9:00 reminder” with no medicine name, and the app is called Foil on the home screen. Foil Pro adds an app lock with Face ID, fingerprint or your passcode.
Does Foil tell me what to take, or what to do if I miss a dose?
No. Foil is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. It reminds you of the schedule you entered and keeps a record. For changes, missed doses or anything about your medicine, follow your doctor or pharmacist.
